Change the Default Settings

Wishful thinking is something which every truthful person would agree that they have had but the popular saying "if wishes were horses beggars would have ride" makes us think our wishes are from our reach.
We were wired to communicate based on what the eye sees so if we want something we only wish for them instead of saying we have it.
When you ask someone how they are, apart from the normal "am fine" you are likely to hear "not bad, we are managing" and sometimes depending on your relationship with the person you hear " things are bad. I don't know what am going to do" because what we see is what we say but that has to change.
As a Christian, you probably might have come accross the text in that says "we walk not by sight but by faith" or  your pastor might have thrown this scripture to the congregation several times when talking about faith.
This verse changes everything when you become a Christian ( born of Christ and living under His authority). The verse is viewed by many as spiritual than it is practical.  It's not just in the bible to fill space but it's an alert that you need to change the default settings; you need to stop walking by sight.
It doesn't mean you should walk with a blindfold or escalate your wishful thinking, No; it means you have to start seeing things through the lens of Christ.
"He says, by my stripes you are healed"- but you are not feeling well and you can't hide it,  so what do you do and what do you say?
Here's how to change the default settings...

You cannot keep living by what you see and expect to receive something beyond that. "For we walk by faith not by sight"- 2 Corinthians 5:7.
Faith is the only acceptable language for all believers . If you speak any other language, heaven will not recognize it.
The just shall live by faith (Galatians 3:11 ) so that should tell you that your life/ existence depends on your faith. If you cannot see yourself waking up the next day, or making it into the coming year, or making a living out of your life, or starting the business you so dream of, or having the family you pray for, bad news is you won't have it.
Without faith it's impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6) so if you cannot exercise your faith and please God can you get anything from Him? The answer is No because if you don't believe He can why would He?

As we cross-over, praise-over, pray-over into the coming year, let's have a change of mind and a change of language. Change the default settings of your mind and start thinking and talking like a kingdom citizen.
"Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven "- Matthew 6:10. The enlightenment from this text is that, some things have been established in heaven for us but it's not so on earth here. Our predestined life must be in alignment with the life we are living here if nothing there's an error. No wonder the man of wisdom, Solomon said in Ecclesiastes that there's an error/ evil under the sun; servants sitting on horses while princes walk on the ground ( Ecclesiastes 10:5-7)" and it's through prayer and daily confessing of our supposed status that can change it.
The bible says you have all things in sufficiency lacking nothing(2 Corinthians 9:8) but in reality you are financially down,  the bible says by His (Jesus) stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5) but you are bed ridden with a sickness; that's not what has been established in heaven so you pray and confess it into your life till you see it been made manifest in your life evidently.
Your new assignment for the coming year is "say it till you see it".

Have a prosperous New Year. Let's meet at the top in 2018. Love you all.
