He washes Too.

It beats our imagination how He combines all these;  we could go crazy thinking of how He juggles all things and still doesn't sleep nor slumber.

The Holy Spirit washes too..

Jesus Christ came to die to wash away our sins and has bought us from slavery to free with His blood. Thanks be to Him we are righteous and have been accepted by God that's why we have been given the status of co- heirs with Christ. We should always thank Him for that. Now, the thing is, He doesn't only wash away our sins, He washes every thing too - yes, He is the laundry guy.

There are certain situation that makes us bitter; it could be the non- involvement of a parent in our personal development and growth, it could be a betrayal from a friend, a rape, a heart break, a bitter experience that brings sad memories. Many at times, we tell ourselves we have forgiven them, but truth sometimes is, we haven't even forgiven ourselves on their behalf and neither have we forgotten.  We hold on to these memories because we haven't washed the back of our heads for probably 4, 5, 6, 7 years or God knows how long - and that's exactly what God is willing to wash if we let Him.

It's not your intention to not let go; it's because you haven't asked the cleaner to help you. When you commune with the Holy Spirit,  we talk to Him like our friend, because He is. The best of them as well and He tells your problems and sad happenings to no one. Opening up to Him should be default once you have a relationship with Him.
Chapter 4, verse 30 & 31 of the book of Ephesians has told us what grieves Him and that's why we can't feel His presence in some circumstances; because we shut the door in His face. In as much as the Holy Spirit wants us to manifest in His gifts,  He wants us to bear His fruits too because we are the branches of the vine.
Our God is love and that love flows through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit doesn't want us to wallow in pain or self pity;  I mean tell me, which friend would?

When we say we are letting go, we are not leaving it to the wind to carry it away;  we are leaving it to a mighty God to erase it.
"..And your sins I would remember no more"- (Isaiah 43:25,Heb 8:2); "..I would wash your crimson red sin away and make you as pure as snow-(Isaiah 1:8)". If He can make our sins disappear, so can He our pains and hurts.
There are times when people hurt you, at that instant you are so angry and anytime you see them, you just remember the hurt and it's like a sharp knife has been slit through your lower tummy. Now when we make use of the cleaning effect of the Holy Spirit, the situation changes.
I was personally shocked when on some occasions I said to myself that I would get back at someone for something they did and when I met them, I spoke to them like nothing had happened; it's not that I was pretending, I just couldn't remember - I totally forgot they even did something. Some hours later, the Holy Spirit drew my attention to what had happened earlier and I just kept laughing at myself. I was like, Holy Spirit, you are too funny, you made a joke of me.

The songwriter was right to have said "Oh what peace we often forfeit, oh what unnecessary/needless burden/ pain we bear ;  all because we don't carry everything to God in prayer". When He said we should accept Him as our Lord and personal Saviour, it wasn't only to give us one touch healing, breakthroughs, and uncommon favor at the strangest of places, but it includes what happens to us when we cross the street, cautioning us about the company we keep, taking charge of our finances, putting us in check on the purity scale, prompting us on impending danger and the least of things we can think of. That's to say, every aspect of our lives concern Him, that's why He would make sure the pains of yesterday would not clog our heart so much that it clouds our judgement for today and make us miss a bigger blessing tomorrow; Rest - He is in charge.
It's not your duty to run around and remind people who hurt you of their deeds and demand forgiveness from them; it's for you to forgive yourself, bring them to God to forgive them, try to understand them in a way and forgive them; the mighty Man in battle would wash away all those hurt like they never existed in the first place.
As we embrace the healing power of God and utilize our God given Authority, let's give place to the Holy Spirit to fully do what He needs to do; yours is to pack the dirty clothes ( the hurts, disappointments, name them) to Him and He would wash them anew (He would give you a new heart and a new mind).
Bless the Lord who always has our every thought and wants at heart.
Hurry, it's WASH DAY..
